2010 Gala

Arts for Autism 2010 was our premiere fundraising extravaganza inspired and created by Paola Quiroz. She worked tirelessly to bring this event to the spotlight on November 6, 2010. She was supported by her family and many friends. It was an inspiration to be a part of this incredible effort and the night itself was fantastic.

Over 300 guests and champion fundraisers crowded the Clarendon Ballroom for the majority of the evening. We started with 10 superstars from the autism community ranging in age and ability as they walked the runway. It was incredible to see them all overcome their challenges to shine in this moment. Almost every one of their parents were doubtful that they would succeed, yet they did. Then our Master of Ceremonies, Steven Gaffney, introduced the event and Paola and helped with a very successful silent auction whose highlight were the airline tickets for two to Paris. At 9pm the Runway lit up with the beauty and poise of our Champion Fundraisers and Fashion Designers to the music from DJ Kalkutta.

It was a glorious night and the best part is that the proceeds raised went directly to the ASNV Intervention Assistance Fund that allowed us to offer mini-grants to families on a quarterly basis instead of once a year. These grants help families pay for therapies and treatments that are not covered by insurance or local or state services.

We are all grateful to our Champion Fundraisers, Paola Quiroz and her family and all our donor sponsors who helped make the night such a huge success.
